The Teide Observatory of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias is located at 2400 meters above sea level on the island of Tenerife. It is a fantastic location for astronomical observations. During a virtual tour about the campus or taking a look from the open domes of the GREGOR telescope or Vacuum Tower Telescope (VTT), the many telescopes of the observatory can be seen above the clouds with the 3718 meter high Teide Mountain not far away. AIP contributes to the observatory with its robotic STELLA telescopes, and is a partner of a German consortium operating GREGOR and VTT, which is led by the Kiepenheuer Institute for Solar Physics in Freiburg.
